Leftover Food Policies
To ensure food safety, quality, and compliance with applicable health regulations, the following policy applies to leftover food from catered events.
Drop Off Catering For Unstaffed Events:
- Client responsibility: Once food has been served or transferred to the client, responsibility for its safe handling, storage, transportation, and consumption rests with the client.
- Temperature control: Perishable foods must be kept at safe temperatures. The caterer cannot guarantee the safety or quality of food after it leaves our control.
- Packaging: Clients who take eligible leftovers are responsible for providing appropriate containers and ensuring that food is transported and refrigerated promptly.
- No guarantee of leftovers: The caterer does not guarantee that leftovers will be available. Quantities remaining will vary depending on guest attendance and consumption.
- Food safety: When in doubt, leftovers should be discarded.
- By saving leftover food, the client acknowledges responsibility for its handling and use after it leaves the caterer’s care.
Catering For Staffed Events:
- Leftover Food: Food that has been provided for an event, or otherwise made available to guests is not be eligible for redistribution to the client or guests, due to food-safety concerns.
- At the conclusion of the event, our catering team will manage any remaining food in accordance with applicable food-safety guidelines and our internal procedures. This policy applies to all catered food, including unopened, prepared, and partially served items.
- We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain the highest standards of food safety and service.
